[REFLECT] My Book Review Presentation

There were many things to be fixed on my presentation. I would like to write down some major mistakes on my presentation.
First of all, my voice was shaking. The "voice" in presentation really effects on how you look and how listeners "see" your whole presentation itself. As for myself, having a "shaky voice" resulted into giving the listeners an image that I am not confident with what I am saying. Being bright and all would be better for my presentation. In addition, using more exaggerated body language would be better.
I also lacked "standard body language", such as how you should hold out your arms. Although the listeners were not able to see my body language because of the desk (Because the room was JUST HORRIBLE). However, I think I should have not spoken at an fixed area. I should have done the presentation like Steve Jobs (Like how he walks around the stage).
Other mistakes comes with presentation slide style, the format of my presentation. I would like to fix these mistakes. (It is scientifically proves that writing your goals on walls help you remember... However, it is also proved that you will be grounded by your parents.)

[LEARNED] Launching a Site & Rules of Design

Google Sites provides us a great service on creating a new website, sharing and staying connected simply. Today, we have learned about Google Sites. You can consider Google Sites as a Google Docs that allows you to publish sites with an awesome management tools and options for several new pages to add to your site. The introduction to Google Sites has lead us to learn some designing rules, which are the colours, images, and the fonts. Keeping the rules of design on my mind should help me on my presentation and projects.

[5/9] [ARCHIVE/REFLECT] About body languages

In the past, I have indeed learned about the posture to have when giving presentations, in the past class by Rab Paterson. In todays class, rather than learning what to do, we have learned about what to not do. Don't become a robot. Don't put coins in your pocket. Don't do martial arts style guarding (where it hides the center of your body).

[IDEAS] Two Types of Slide Designs

I believe that there are two types of designs for slideshows. The first design, is based on making each slide simple with images and minimum text. This method gives the viewers static image on what the speaker is talking about. The second design method I use is the "Material UI Design". Since it is a UI design, the whole design interacts to the users with geometrical and photographic elements animated and placed according to a layout. (the layout guidelines are set by Google). For example, if you were to tell a user about a new feature, this is what Material UI Design will solve the task: https://storage.googleapis.com/material-design/publish/material_v_12/assets/0B4kv-3uZbS1qQVhNbFlVdlNsOEE/engagement-featurediscovery-single-flow.mp4
